Sunlight!

It’s winter time in Portland, which means lots of dark, wet days. So when the sun breaks through the clouds, I grab my camera and go hog-wild. It’s usually a very small window of time with the sun. The other afternoon, I took the babies out of their long sleeved pajamas so they could show off their juicy legs and arms. They weigh a lot now—18.5 lbs for Luca and 17.5 for Milo. That may not sound like to you, but if you pick up babies throughout the day, it adds up and makes for a very sore back. Dominic has new corns on his feet and think it’s from the additional baby weight that’s affecting the soles of his feet. Too much information?

Okay, Milo’s face is NOT this long. I just got too close with the camera and it warped his forehead.

Milo looks a lot like his cousin Sophia (see below). They’re cut from the same cloth I guess.

Monsters of Gigglefest

It feels like every other week I’m buying a new dog toy. Ruby can tear up a soft toy in 2 minutes flat. The method to her madness is relentlessly biting and pulling on the same spot over and over again. Once she breaks through the fabric, it’s over and the toy ends up in the wastebasket. And for the nth time, I swear it’s the last time I throw away good money.

So being the sucker that I am, I got her a new dog toy during a diaper run to Target yesterday. I gave Ruby her Christmas gift early and in return got a room filled with laughter. Worth every penny.
