Beans

I stopped by Anthropologie the other day and noticed one of their displays had beans inside a wooden crate. I instantly thought of Luca and if he’d been with me how he would stick his paws in the crate and brush the beans around. He loves playing with dirt like that. This gave me an idea to use beans to explore texture and sound. Milo and Luca loved it. They poured the beans from cup to cup, bowl to bowl and table to ground.

Animal pizzas

A couple of nights ago, Milo was playing with his dinner. He held onto a piece of bread and kept saying “Nay! Nay!” I looked at it but didn’t see a horse just bread with ragged edges. Milo’s sense of play was cute anyway. It gave me an idea though. 

The next day at lunchtime, I ran to Sur La Table and bought some cookie cutters. That night, I made some pizza dough from one of my favorite blogs, In Praise of Leftovers. Let it rise overnight and in the morning, rolled out these beauties. 

I love moments like these.
