Ruby-love

Have you met Ruby? She is our sweet Boston Terrier. We treat her like one of our children. She owns a raincoat with a fleece lining, a houndstooth hoodie and a sheepskin rug that lines her crate—that’s how bad it is. Ruby has been nothing but loving to Milo and Luca once they came home from the hospital. Here are just a few gems from the early months.

Some Boston Terriers are cute in an ugly way—but not my Ruby! This girl seriously needs a modeling agent. Isn’t she a beauty with those sexy eyelashes?

Once our babysitter said Ruby followed her around the entire night, as if to make sure the babysitter wouldn’t harm Milo and Luca. I was so touched to hear that Ruby was protecting my babies.

Ruby, the cuddler: One morning, when Dominic got up, Ruby looked around the bed and found the next best thing—a swaddled baby! When I woke up to see this, I gasped then grabbed my camera. Thank God Ruby is a small dog or else Milo would’ve been smothered to death.

She was so curious about these foreign blobs—their odd smells and new sounds.

Of course it was hard to let go of being the baby of the house. Here she is wedged between Dominic and Milo. So precious.
